Petrolis has been contracted by Saipem to perform various activities on the Kaombo Sul project.

SCOPE OF WORK

FPSO mooring activities, SURF assistance activities, and FPSO hook-up activities offshore of the FPSO Kaombo Sul.

Onshore scope of work in Singapore: September 2018 Petrolis’ team to perform SITs at Keppel shipyard.

Offshore Scope of work Angola: January 2019 –FPSO Sail away date TBC.Petrolis’ team to perform FPSO mooring activities, SURF assistance activities, FPSO hook-up activities offshore from January 2019 awards.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Kaombo, currently the biggest deep offshore development in Angola, is located some 260 kilometers off the coast of Luanda, the capital of the country.
The field was brought online through the FPSO KaomboNorte which produced an estimated 115,000 barrels of oil per day. The second FPSO, the KaomboSul, took the day in July 2018.

Overall production of the project will reach an estimated 230,000 barrels of oil per day at peak, and the associated gas will be exported to the Angola LNG plant. A total of 59 wells will be connected to the two FPSOs.
