Petrolis has been contracted by SHI to perform Technical Assistance on Total FPSO Egina. The 5 Months operation has now been successfully and safely completed.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Installation Mooring, Hook-up
  • Included Risk assessment part
  • Onshore mobilization with re-inspection of the mooring protector scaffolding and do some repairs
  • Offshore Mobilization
  • Winch Operations
  • Station Keeping pennants installation including assistance for the installation for the portside

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Discovered in 2003 and located around 130 kilometers off the coast of Nigeria at water depths between 1,400 and 1,700m, the Egina oil field is one of our most ambitious ultra-deep offshore projects. Firstly developed locally to increase the pace of Nigeria’s industrial fabric and the transfer of technology, the project will be able to produce 200,000 barrels of oil per day, which means approximately 10% of the country’s total oil production.

In the project phase we took part, work to do was based on the Installation of Egina FPSO offshore Nigeria, Supply a major newbuild floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel: build the FPSO hull, transportation, installation and hook-up Egina’s umbilicals and offloading buoy, plus install the FPSO.
